Class Styles of Buddhafull Yoga

Restorative (Beginner)

In these classes we practice a variety of strong movements that are complemented by deep stretches that awaken a hidden reservoir of energy laying dormant in the body. With this new found life force in circulation, one is more equipped to go about daily living and all its demands.

The 6 Power Restorative Stretch classes each week are open for any level of practitioner, but are specially designed to kick start someone who is either brand new to yoga, coming back to exercise after a long time off, or rehabilitating an injury and wishes to heal with a lighter practice before increasing the body’s work load.

There are 5 main positions in these classes that we develop poses inside of: Sitting, Kneeling, Prone, Standing & Supine. Within each position we have a chance to enjoy many moves that will strengthen the shoulder & hip girdles, provide mobility and relief to the vertebra of the spine , nurture the muscles of the lower back and stretch the muscles of the legs & torso.

Foundations (Beginner)

We all have so much going on that it’s nearly impossible to keep up with and keep track of all the happenings in life. In our efforts to stay worldly organized, we end up loosing sight of our spiritual side and what we are made of. The smallest gap in time dedicated to the remembering and connecting with ourselves goes such a long way in helping us stay on top of and in control of all the responsibilities the universe has blessed us with. The 9 Foundations classes each week are that gap in time that give us a fighting chance at optimizing life.

The postures practiced in these classes automatically allow us to forget the things of the day and force us to focus on staying cool, calm and collected in the now. The bodily adjustments we learn in these practices transform old habits into healthier ways of being. With a stronger back, more grounded legs, better supporting arms, increased sense of balance, and a healthier spine, the duties of life are made easily performable and everyday aches and pains are relieved.

These classes are specially designed for those who are looking to add more physicality to their practice but still need access to the postures. The poses are guaranteed to build an additional level of strength, flexibility and balance that has been lost along the course of our busy lives. As in all things, when we are a beginner it takes the most patience and self love to develop the skills for a more natural experience to unfold so please give you that time. The routine of this class is more challenging than that of Power Restorative but are still very possible for a new student to accomplish and are the stepping stones to living a free and authentically adventurous life.

Gentle Flow (Beginner)

Life is a combination of action, inertia and harmony. Few of us are able to maintain the harmonic state and so often we find ourselves overburdened by activity of overwhelmed by lethargy. This class is the center axis between over working and under achieving. The main purpose of this class is to give the beginner practitioner a chance to use their body in a way that will lead strength and grace over the course of time. This happens through the combination of breath awareness, attentive posturing and by committing oneself to continuously showing up for results to flourish.

Vinyasa (Beginner)

We almost never take the time to observe the quality of our breathing and its relationship to the movements we make. There is a life long benefit in paying attention to our breath and learning to sense how it enhances the control of our limbs and thoughts. To choreograph the body while being the maestro of the breath and master of the mind is not easy, it demands all of our focus but worth the endeavour because our bodies breath and mind are our livelihood. With practice, concentration is accomplished sparking a release from the past, a non-worry for the future and an adoption of the present moment.

In the 3 Vinyasa classes each week we engage in activities that will drastically increase our balance, improve our vigor, create elasticity in our physique, and tone our mental powers. We put together the pieces of postures that make up the puzzle of a Sun Salutation and we dedicate time to back strengthening & restorative stretching.

Bootcamp (Intermediate)

In these classes we train a blend of highly efficient exercises and workouts that help the muscular system to build stamina, the cardiovascular system to develop endurance and the circulatory system to operate efficiently. More than a full body workout, these classes turn superficial feelings into deep observations of what we are and what we can accomplish in the short time we spend on earth together.

There are 3 Bootcamp classes each week and you do not need to be an olympic athlete or to have ever even exercised before to succeed in them because the routines are accessible to all skill levels. These classes teach us the techniques to controlling our exertion levels in order to keep our heart rate, breath consistency and self confidence in harmony. Wether we are starting from scratch, picking up where we left off, or continuing on our path, these classes take us to the top of our game and gives us a true sense of where we are now and a real plan for where we aspire to go.

Primary (Intermediate)

Yoga is synonymous with life, they both have a new-born moment, an infancy period, a toddler stage, an adolescent time, an adulthood span and finally some wisdom years. This class would be comparable to the adulthood span and wisdom years of our yogic existence. It is best to stay youthful for as long as we can but inevitably we will all out grow our bodies; in preparation for that moment, we practice now with intensity, integrity & intention.

The postures, pace and focus of this class are a reflection of our life efforts to balance work, play and rest with friends, family and personal time. Come with all your experience or come with no experience at all but be ready to leave having shed layers of the past and fixed a new vision of the future.

There are 3 Yoga Primary classes each week and if you could make it to even 1 of them it would be a huge boon to maximize ones potential both in and out of the yoga studio. These are the most challenging classes on the schedule and a culmination of all our skills into a moving meditation.

If you’ve seen one yoga studio you’ve seen them all... until now. Buddhafull Yoga is a studio, community center, gym, art exhibit, library, home away from home. Yoga Paul is an insane, enigmatic, humble warrior master of whom I am honored to call a teacher and a friend. If you have come this far to read this review take it as a confirmation that there is something worth seeing here. That is my sole purpose for this review to encourage you to walk through the door because after that the rest will speak for itself.

Enchanting. Yogi Paul meets you where you are and has an incredible capacity to focus, guide and simultaneously crack jokes to keep the lightheartedness energy alive while tuning into our bodies. These aren't just yoga classes, they are an experience worth having and the only good yoga classes are the ones that involve teachers who have met themselves deep enough to be able to tap into something deep within you and Yogi Paul has fully encompassed all of that beauty. Peace & thank you :D !

Buddhaful Yoga Studio offers a bright, clean, welcoming environment where practitioners of yoga are guided toward mental and physical well-being. There are classes for every level of practitioner. In addition to yoga classes, there are strength and stamina building classes (aka: bootcamps). The price is right. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

Buddhaful Yoga was a great choice for me to get Back to Yoga after a ten year or so break. I chose the Vinyasa class which was challenging without being overly tough. Yogi Paul provides the personal attention needed to assure you are moving properly with the poses. Large clean studio.
I’m looking forward to the next class and also trying other classes. Highly recommend.

This is the studio that will not only advance your practice no matter your level, but will make you feel known as a person and part of a community. All are accepted. Yoga Paul is amazing and passionate.
